Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the much-anticipated season of its critically acclaimed series, Paatal Lok 2, on Friday, December 13. They shared the news by sharing a poster of Jaideep Ahlawat as Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary.

Sharing a brand-new poster from Paatal Lok Season 2, Prime Video wrote, “Using our hammer to break the internet #PaatalLokOnPrime, New Season, Coming Soon (sic).”

As soon as the announcement was made, fans shared their excitement in the view on social media. One fan exclaimed, “CAN’T WAIT! BEST SERIES EVER,” while another humorously asked whether the release date would come “after we die.” Many others urged Amazon Prime to reveal the release date soon, adding to the growing anticipation.

Debuting in 2020, the series, starred Jaideep Ahlawat and Ishwak Singh, Neeraj Kabi, Abhishek Banerjee, Gul Panag and Swastika Mukherjee in the pivotal roles. In the series, Ahlawat plays Hathiram Chaudhary, an Inspector who is determined to solve a high-profile case involving a murder attempt on journalist Sanjeev Mehra (played by Neeraj Kabi). Gul Panag plays the role of Renu, Hathiram’s wife. The first season is currently streaming on Prime Video.
